Ozymandias
Ozymandias is inspired by Percy Bysshe Shelley’s 1818 poem of the same name that grapples with the fallen greatness of ancient civilizations. Motivated by the British Museum’s acquisition of a massive Sphinx, Shelley describes the discovery of an ancient statue and imagines the power it once possessed. This collection is ruled by a conversation between cultural refinement and complex and ancient tribalism.
