Artist, New Yorker, Style Maven, Renovator, Sometimes TV personality. Lover of found things, founder of Mode Marteau.
BA from Carleton College, Post-Bac Degree from Virginia Common Wealth University.
I moved to New York from a ranch in Montana with the dream of being a famous artist (or at least making a living). I was working at a gallery and rubbing shoulders with the art-world elite, showing my portfolio and trying to dress the part. I coveted Givenchy and Margiela and the only way I could get it was at the thrift stores I’d been scouring for art-making materials. My love of treasure hunting merged with my admiration for entrepreneurship and sprung up as a small business selling designer clothes to savvy shoppers in New York City. Almost a decade later I'm excited to launch Mode Marteau to bring everyone direct access to my amazing designer fashion finds.
My artwork has been exhibited at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City and the Cutlog Art Fair among others.
My work has been reviewed and published in numerous publications, including, The New York Times, Fast Company and Time Out New York.
